After a very successful winter camp in 2023- 24, SPCA is announcing the winter program for 2024-25

9-week cricket training program with a total of 2 hours per week. This condensed program will focus on biomechanics, strength & conditioning, cricketing skills, and game awareness within a limited time frame.

Venue – Club Didsbury @Didsbury High School

Time slots

U11s – Sunday 1pm – 3pm

U13s – Sunday 3:15pm – 5:15pm

U15s – Saturday 12:30pm – 2:30pm

U18s/ Seniors – Saturday 3pm – 5pm

Overview:

9-Week Cricket Training Program (2 Hours per Week)

  • Duration: 9 weeks
  • Frequency: 1 session per week
  • Session Length: 2 hours

Weekly Schedule:

  • Refining throwing mechanics and front-foot positioning in batting.
  • Advanced bowling techniques and power generation in batting.
  • Perfecting technique for injury prevention and performance optimization.
  • Individual adjustments based on progress and video analysis.

  • Strength & Conditioning
  • Introduction to bodyweight exercises and basic core strength.
  • Incorporation of agility drills and resistance bands for conditioning.
  • Plyometric exercises and functional strength training.
  • Sport-specific strength and power exercises.
  • High-intensity interval training and maintaining fitness.

  • Cricketing Skills
  • Basic batting drills, line and length bowling, and fielding fundamentals.
